Whiskey is the kind of versatile hunting dog you only get once in a great while. From waterfowl to upland, he excels at every game put in front of him. His long legs and deep chest give him the endurance to hunt sunup to sundown, slipping in tight for grouse or pushing out deep to lock up on quail. Yet at home, he’s a calm, affectionate old soul—content to spend the evening at your feet. 

Rye is all grit and heart—a compact, stout hunting machine with a prey drive that doesn’t quit. Built for tough conditions, her thick coat lets her thrive in late-season waterfowl hunts, where she retrieves confidently no matter the weather. In the uplands, she’s a careful, calculated pheasant dog, tracking and matching roosters with unwavering determination. Off the field, she’s a warm, affectionate family companion who absolutely adores children. 

Bourbon Brook is the future of Whiskey Rye Outfitters. As the puppy we've chosen to retain from our Oak & Barrel litter, she represents everything we strive to produce through our breeding program—exceptional pedigree, natural ability, sound structure, and an outstanding temperament.

Confident, intelligent, and eager to learn, Bourbon Brook has shown from an early age that she possesses the qualities of a versatile hunting companion. She combines a strong prey drive with a calm, people-focused personality, making her equally at home in the field and with the family. Her willingness to engage, curiosity, and steady disposition have made her a standout from the very beginning.

As she grows, Bourbon Brook will be developed through the Whiskey Rye Outfitters training program with the goal of competing in NAVHDA testing while becoming a proven upland and waterfowl hunting dog. She represents the next generation of our breeding program and our commitment to producing German Shorthaired Pointers that excel in performance, trainability, and companionship.
